Ridge City Football Club Women continued the Women’s Football Initiative program with Coaching 101, facilitated by coach Eric Antwi at Mary Mother of Good Counsel School, Accra.
Eric Antwi is the Former Head Coach of Accra Great Olympics and Sekondi Eleven Wise, now the technical director of the Lizzy Sports Complex In Accra.
The facilitator, along with management of the Ridge City Football Club Women hosted over 30 participants to teach women the very basic elements of coaching.
He stated that, as a coach, your primary duties are to first manage people (players) and solve problems. Adding, although football entails intelligent movement, excellent passing and good ball control, communication is key and always an added advantage.
The program was divided into two sessions; theory and practical demonstrations. He left participants with the question, “what kind of coaches do they want to be”?
The next episode of coaching 101 is dated for Thursday 29th October 2020 at the same venue.
